Celebrating Christmas with ANIV: the past, the present and the future of micro mobility

It is, indeed, the most wonderful time of the year. And as 2021 comes to an end, it is only fair to look back at the year the micro mobility market, as well as ANIV Inc. in particular, has had and made some predictions for the upcoming year.

The micro mobility industry has developed rapidly in the past few years and has reached a new peak in 2021.

The Past

During the COVID-19 pandemic and numerous lockdowns, the need for alternative transportation grew immensely. Since the opportunity to use buses and other types of public transport was taken away from people, the popularization of different means of transportation happened naturally. People needed a safe, fast and easy way to travel relatively short distances and run errands without the fear of catching the virus. Electric bike and electric scooter sharing companies satisfy these exact needs, which is one of the reasons why the industry is booming at the moment.

Another reason is the climate crisis. The environmental issues the planet is facing right now are in desperate need of solutions. Moreover, greenhouse gas emissions are one of the biggest threats to the environment, which is why getting to the root of the problem and decreasing the number of cars that produce said emissions, has been on the agenda of many government officials. As a result, many cities and towns around the globe have adopted a micro mobility system and integrated bikes, e-bikes and e-scooters into their infrastructure. The sustainability and eco-friendliness of these vehicles and the system all together spark people’s interest and, therefore, popularize this type of transportation.

The Present

Studies show that the interest in the micro mobility industry grows steadily, which leads to the implementation of different bike-sharing and scooter sharing programs around the world. In 2020 the global micro-mobility market was valued at around $140 billion. Moreover, the prediction professionals in the field are making states that by 2030 the value of the market will be around $500 billion. This means that if the prediction is correct, in just 10 years, the industry will register a CAGR of about 17.4%. These are very impressive numbers, indeed.

ANIV Inc. is extremely proud to be a part of the industry and to have contributed to these big numbers. We have done a lot this year through our electric scooter and bike share system. We have grown as a company even more and have started many collaborations not only in the US but also all around the world, in countries like Russia, the UAE, Egypt and others. We have helped cities integrate electric bike and electric scooter sharing systems into their infrastructure, have guided communities through the process of becoming cleaner and more green, have helped city residents and visitors choose an easy and safe means of transportation. All of this and so much more in just a year.

The Future

As we look back at the year the micro mobility industry has had as well as the overall progress of our company, we realize that the future is bright. We at ANIV are certain that it will provide the industry with more opportunities to grow and help make people’s lives much easier. We speak from experience when we say that once a city implements a micro-mobility system it never looks back. Furthermore, it increases the number and type of vehicles each year.

We at ANIV hope that one city’s successful collaboration with a micro-mobility business will inspire other cities to give it a shot as well, which, in turn, will snowball into entire counties taking a step towards this alternative means of transportation. We hope that 2022 will be just as fruitful for not only ANIV but also the entire industry.

Thank you for being with ANIV in 2021 and we will see you in 2022.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your families.
